We're All About Wisconsin's Best Mental Health!

Our association was formed to develop more independent mental health counselors and medication providers in Wisconsin, so they can choose to serve all of the people, not just those with private insurance. We offer counselors the freedom of their own practice, with the support of our organization, providing marketing help, billing support, credentialing and a network of other counselors for ideas and input.

Many clinic groups do not accept BadgerCare, also known as Forward Health, or Medicare. There are reasons, but, together, we can overcome the obstacles.

We work with ALMA and Headway, two counselor programs, to bring newly independent counselors into an environment where they can bill through most commercial insurance. The Alliance then provides avenues to bill the MCO's associated with BadgerCare, along with commercial insurance plans ALMA does not provide.

This means counselor independence, higher pay for counselors and prescribing professionals, along with the ability to serve many in Wisconsin who struggle to find counseling or medication evaluations.

The Alliance is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit corporation, designed to improve mental health in Wisconsin through education, medication, and counseling support. Members of the Alliance operate their own practice as free professionals. All are individually licensed with the State of Wisconsin and abide by all Wisconsin statutes regarding mental health.
