So does Elon Musk. So did Albert Einstein. So does comedian Dan Akroyd. So does supermodel Christine McGuinness. So did Mozart.

Being on the spectrum is NOT a disability at Level One and Level Two. We should all be as "disabled" as the famous people mentioned above! It is a difference. Our brains are a bit different. We tend to have a bit more grey matter and quite a bit more white matter.

White matter helps create myelin, the substance that insulates connections between neurons in the brain and allows for more neural connection. This causes the overthinking and anxiety of being on the spectrum, but, it can be controlled, cultivated and people can thrive. Efforts to "change" people on the spectrum are futile and wasteful. Encouragement, elevation and appreciation are far better.

There is a growing number of people being identified as on the autism spectrum, men and women. We have assembled a team of mental health counselors who are also on the spectrum and can help those you love grow and appreciate themselves, using that "deep dive" mental ability to develop new things, such as Apple Computers or Microsoft Windows. From music to science, those on the spectrum may be socially uncomfortable but have a tremendous amount to offer society and can make great and loyal friends.
